Description (Typology, Period, Actual Use)

One large space with wooden roof supported by three parallel arches. The facade has the typical covered porch supported by arches. Windows are arched. Details are supported by a date of construction; 18th Century. Exterior is well preserved. It has a minaret. It is currently used as a mosque. Proposed Protection Measures

The mosque and the nearby school (medrese) has been restored by the Nicosia Master Plan, in collaboration with the Department of Antiquities in 2004,.  The restoration of the mosque has been supported by the Bi-communal Development Programme, funded by USAID and UNDP, implemented through UNOPS. The medrese restoration was funded by the Antiquities.
